With the dedication of four generations, the House of Chettinad has established itself as pioneers in the field of Education and Industry.
The Group began its journey in 1912 when its founder Dr. Rajah Sir Annamalai Chettiar, a Visionary, Entrepreneur, Educationist and Philanthropist who envisioned that the future lies in improving society by developing industry and education. The core values of the House of Chettinad - Strive, Save & Serve reached further heights under the aegis of Dr. Rajah Sir Muthiah Chettiar followed by his son, Dr. M.A.M. Ramaswamy. The mantle of the Group was taken forward by the untiring efforts of Dr. Muthiah Ramaswamy, a dynamic industrialist and an ardent supporter of educational endeavours.

The Chettinad Group has over 90 years of experience facilitating a wide range of education and service institutions successfully in Tamil Nadu. The group is currently responsible for 22 private and government-aided schools, Polytechnic, Medical, Dentistry and Pharmaceutical, Engineering, Law and Architecture colleges.

The Chettinad Family has made invaluable contribution to education through The Gandhinagar Education Society over the decades by initiating and managing several institutions, colleges and schools in Tamil Nadu. It has been imparting quality education at affordable price to students.
